Q: When can I order my cap & gown?
A: Orders can be placed via the USU Campus Store website now through 5 PM on April 30th. Graduate students can purchase caps and gowns at the Campus Store the day of Graduation (Friday, May 2). Undergraduate students can purchase on the Quad in front of Old Main, starting at 8 AM on Saturday, May 3.
Q: What is a stole or Stole of Gratitude?
A: The Stole is a symbol of love, appreciation, and accomplishment as a way for graduates to demonstrate their appreciation for those who helped make their dream of a college education possible. The graduating student traditionally wears it during the commencement ceremony. Afterwards, the Stole is presented to someone who provided extraordinary help or support. Q: How do I find what college I am in?
A: Find your degree on the Utah State University list of Colleges and Departments website.
Q: How can I order personalized announcements?
A: Personalized announcements can be purchased from our affiliate at Balfour CB Graduation Announcements.
Q: What do the generic announcements say?
A: These announcements contain the Utah State University 2014 Commencement Schedule and a message that reads: “The Utah State Board of Regents, The Faculty, and Graduating Class of Utah State University announce the One Hundred and Twenty-Seventh Commencement on Friday, the second day of May and Saturday, the third day of May Two thousand fourteen. The Dee Glen Smith Spectrum Logan, Utah”
Q: Can I pickup my cap & gown at the store?
A: Orders can be placed via our website or by attending the Grad Fair held in our Logan store on March 18th and 19th from 9 AM to 5 PM. Pre-orders placed via our website will be available for in-store pickup after 12:00 PM on Wednesday, March 19th.
Q: Do you have packages for those graduating with Associate degrees?
A: Yes. Associates wear the same robes as bachelors, but will have a black tassel instead of the College color. When ordering robes for an Associate, simply select the "Bachelor" package and indicate "Associate" in place of the College color.
Q: I attend one of the Regional Campuses and will be attending Graduation at our local Campus. What is different for me?
A: Tassel colors may be different, depending on your location. Contact your local counselor to verify what color you may need. The Tooele Campus will be providing Navy/White tassels for each of its graduates. For USU-E students, packages are available for purchase in the Price store. Please visit http://eastern.usu.edu/price for details.
Q: Why does the website require my Height, Weight, and College?
A: Height and weight is used to determine the appropriate size and length of the gown. Each USU College is represented by a specific color tassel. Masters and doctorates require only the black tassel for commencement services. Colored tassels can be purchased separately and individually.
Q: Where can I purchase a frame for my diploma?
A: Diploma frames can be purchased in our Campus Store as well as online. Custom diploma frames can also be purchased through our affiliate at University Frames, Inc.
Q: Why do the prices change as we get closer to Graduation?
A: Prices on caps and gowns increase as we get closer to Graduation. Order early to lock in your best price.
